Welcome to Floating on Air Massage
Before training as a massage therapist, Kim spent nearly 20 years working in the charitable sector as a fundraiser. The job felt very worthwhile, but it could be incredibly stressful at times. So she decided that the time had come for a change. A drastic one. She left her job, hoisted on a rucksack and headed off into the sunset in search of adventure. And what breath-taking, unbelievable adventures she had, relishing every moment of her five years exploring the world.
On her return to the UK, she had been so fascinated by seeing the many different ways that other cultures focused on health and wellbeing that she decided to pursue a career as a massage therapist. In 2023, Kim gained her ITEC Diploma in Swedish/Holistic Massage from The London School of Massage and started working as a professional massage therapist. She has since qualified in deep tissue massage, manual lymphatic drainage treatment and aromatherapy.
Kim is passionate about the transformative power of holistic and preventative treatments, having seen at first hand how holistic therapies can be used alongside conventional medicine to support the recovery and healing process and promote daily wellness. Kim always tailors her treatment techniques to best suit the needs of her clients, so each treatment will be different, bringing benefits to physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
She has a personal interest in making holistic therapies available to as wide a range of people as possible by raising awareness of the benefits gained via these kind of treatments, offering discounted rates to vulnerable groups and working with social prescribers.
Kim is a fully insured with Balens Ltd and is a registered member with the Complementary Therapist Association (CThA).
